At the slums of Ramaper Tekra we have started a Health Center for the community. A token fee of 2 Rupees provides these individuals with access to a doctor and medicines. With a network of some good-hearted specialists and consultants special treatment is also available for free. The center is opened every evening. Several health camps will be organized here in the future.

Frist Aid Providers

In the Municipal schools of Ahmedabad there is hardly any provision for first aid in case of an emergency. Therefore, we are able to provide first aid to about 4000 poor students in 7 nearby schools through the use of 20 child labor, who are trained by Manav Sadhna.

These 20 selected children are given a Manav Sadhna first aid kit, which contains things such as bandages, gauze, combs, nail clippers, threads, and buttons. An average of 600 kids get helped each week. The child labor earn 20 Rupees per day, thus earning while learning. Gradually, they are able to leave their petty jobs as maids and boot polishers. By giving these kids a responsibility, they gain in confidence and feel as if they are a ‘doctor’.
